Dental Implants: A Permanent Solution for Missing Teeth

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone that functions as a permanent root for a replacement tooth. Unlike dentures, implants are fixed in place — they do not slip, shift, or require adhesive. Unlike bridges, they do not depend on neighboring teeth. At Dentistry by Dr. Kaplansky, every case is planned from a CBCT scan and finished with permanent zirconia — not acrylic.

Why Patients Choose Implants Over Dentures or Bridges

Implants are the most predictable tooth replacement option in modern dentistry. When the surgeon is board-certified and the prosthetic material is zirconia, the difference shows up over decades — not just at delivery:

Designed to Last Decades

The titanium fixture osseointegrates with the jawbone, creating a permanent root that typically remains stable for life.

Zirconia, Not Acrylic

Permanent zirconia teeth look natural and resist wear far better than the acrylic prosthetics used by most chain providers.

Preserves Jawbone & Adjacent Teeth

Implants stimulate the bone the way natural roots do, preventing the bone loss and tooth shifting that follows extractions.

Why Choose Dental Implants at Dentistry by Dr. Kaplansky?

Implant surgery is exactly that — surgery. The difference between a Diplomate ABOI/ID specialist and a general dentist who also places implants comes down to training depth, case volume, and peer accountability. Patients choose Dr. Kaplansky for:

  • Diplomate-level board certification in oral implantology — held by fewer than 600 dentists in the U.S.
  • Permanent zirconia restorations, not acrylic — the standard at this practice, not an upgrade.
  • Zygomatic implants for severe upper-jaw bone loss — 1 of 11 ZAGA Centers in the United States.
  • One surgeon, every visit — Dr. Kaplansky personally plans and places every case.

Hear From Real Implant Patients

Restorative Implants Tailored to You

Treatment planning happens before surgery, not during it. Dr. Kaplansky uses CBCT-guided digital planning and 30+ years of implant experience to map every case — single tooth, multi-tooth bridge, full-arch TeethNow, or zygomatic — to your anatomy. The result is a restoration that looks, feels, and functions like the teeth you remember.

Missing Teeth Or Loose Dentures?

If you are tired of dentures that slip, click, or restrict what you can eat, implant-supported overdentures may change that. Two to four implants anchor the prosthesis in place — eliminating the adhesive, the slipping, and the diet restrictions. For severe upper-jaw bone loss, zygomatic implants offer a fixed solution where traditional implants are not an option. Dr. Kaplansky has placed dental implants for 30+ years across the Buffalo-Niagara region.

What Sets Us Apart?

Our Patients.

Dr. Kaplansky is a Diplomate ABOI/ID, Fellow AAID/FICOI/FAGD, and ZAGA Center Certified — one of only 11 ZAGA Centers in the United States and co-author of the zygomatic implant clinical textbook. With 30+ years placing implants and 1,300+ Google reviews, this is the practice patients choose when they want a board-certified specialist using permanent zirconia restorations on every case.

Our Restorative Implant Options

From a single missing tooth to full-arch rehabilitation, every option is matched to the patient — based on bone volume, gum health, and the CBCT scan reviewed personally by Dr. Kaplansky:

Single-Tooth Implants

One implant and one ceramic crown to replace a single missing tooth — preserving the adjacent teeth and the bone at the extraction site.

Multiple-Tooth Implants

An implant-supported bridge spans two to four adjacent missing teeth — fewer fixtures than one per tooth, with no compromise on stability.

Full-Mouth Implants

Our TeethNow full-arch system delivers pre-designed healing teeth the day after surgery and permanent zirconia teeth at 4–5 months — not the chair-side acrylic conversions used by chain providers.

Zygomatic Implants

For severe upper-jaw bone loss, zygomatic implants anchor in the cheekbone — bypassing the deteriorated jaw and the need for grafting. Dr. Kaplansky is ZAGA-certified, one of fewer than 60 specialists worldwide.

The Dental Implant Process: What To Expect

Every case begins with a CBCT scan — three-dimensional imaging of your jaw, nerves, and sinuses. Dr. Kaplansky reviews the scan personally before recommending any treatment.

Implant positions, prosthetic design, and the surgical sequence are mapped before the procedure — so the surgery follows the plan, not the other way around.

The titanium fixtures are placed under local anesthesia (sedation available). For TeethNow full-arch cases, pre-designed healing teeth are delivered the day after surgery.

After osseointegration (3–5 months standard, 4–5 months TeethNow), the permanent zirconia crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthesis is delivered.

Common Questions About Dental Implants

Implant surgery is performed under local anesthesia, with IV sedation available. Most patients describe the recovery as comparable to a tooth extraction — managed with over-the-counter pain medication.

The titanium implant osseointegrates with the jawbone and typically remains stable for life. Permanent zirconia restorations are designed for decades of use — far longer than acrylic alternatives.

Limited bone loss can often be addressed with bone grafting. For severe upper-jaw bone loss, zygomatic implants anchor in the cheekbone — bypassing the jaw entirely. Dr. Kaplansky is ZAGA-certified and evaluates bone volume from your CBCT scan at consultation.

Most plans offer limited implant coverage, often applied to crown portions or bone grafting. We verify your specific benefits, present an out-of-pocket estimate, and discuss CareCredit and in-house financing at the consultation — before treatment begins.

Making Dental Implants Affordable. Flexible Financing Options.

We publish our pricing ranges so patients know what they are looking at before picking up the phone — single tooth $5,000–$7,500, multi-tooth bridge $10,500–$13,500, full-arch TeethNow $24,000–$38,000 per arch, and zygomatic implants $36,000–$55,000. We accept CareCredit, offer in-house payment plans for qualifying patients, and verify dental insurance benefits at the consultation visit.

Our treatment coordinator will present your insurance verification, out-of-pocket estimate, and financing options before any treatment begins — no introductory pricing that changes at the consultation.
