How Long Does the Dental Implant Treatment Process Take?
“Typical” single implant treatment takes 3-4 month. After an implant is placed your body starts to grow bone around it and locks it in place. This is a slow process that spans over a period of 16 weeks. Many times implants can be placed and restored at the same time in one day! Especially multiple implants that are connected together to restore full arch of teeth. It all depends on the quality and quantity of surrounding bone as well as your general health and many other factors.
Healing Time for Dental Implants
In order to achieve the best results, we want to let your implant fully heal before the process is complete, and this healing time can vary per patient. However, we can help you through the process to ensure that you keep your implant healthy, and are left with a strong, reliable tooth replacement.
Since there are so many variables, it's best to come in for a consultation and let Dr. Kaplansky examine you and explain everything in detail, providing you with a treatment plan that's best suited for your particular situation.
