In 1998 after graduating University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree Cum Laude , Dr. Kaplansky continued his training as a resident in the Advanced General Dentistry program at UB. Since 1999, he’s been practicing family dentistry with a special interest in orthodontics (braces) and dental implants. In 2002 he opened up a practice in Middleport and in 2007 moved it to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art building in Gasport.
Professionally, Dr. Kaplansky is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Eighth District Dental Society, the Niagara County Dental Society, Lockport Dental Society and Academy of GP orthodontics. He received prestigious fellowship awards from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2003 and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2008. In 2022 The American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID) announced Dr. Kaplansky as a board-certified diplomate of the board. This designation awarded to Dr. Kaplansky represents the highest level of competence in the field of implant dentistry, which means that Dr. Kaplansky has demonstrated the highest knowledge, skills, and proficiency in implant dentistry through a rigorous examination process.
Dr. Kaplansky has a passion for dentistry he loves helping his patients look and feel better. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling and the great outdoors.

Dr. Komal Koli earned her Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from the Medical College of Georgia where her research on dental implants led to numerous publications and earned high praises nationally and internationally. She continued her education pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry, Los Angeles, CA. She has been practicing general dentistry since 2017, providing dental care for adults and children. Dr. Koli is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, The Eighth District Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside the office, you will find Dr. Koli exploring outdoors with friends and family. She also enjoys cooking and baking various cuisines from around the world.

We do not use unsightly and potentially harmful to your health amalgam to fill teeth. All our fillings are matched in color to your natural enamel. One of the greatest recent advances in dental materials that Dr. Kaplansky uses is sonic-activated fillings. Sonic activation of the composite filling material dramatically lowers the viscosity during placement providing superior adaptation to the cavity walls. What’s in it for me, you might ask.
