Dr. Igor Kaplansky

Dr. Igor Kaplansky is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry — one of fewer than 600 dentists in the United States to hold that designation. He graduated cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1998 and completed an AEGD residency at UB before focusing his career on dental implants, full-arch restoration, and complex surgical cases.

Dr. Kaplansky founded Dentistry by Dr. Kaplansky in 2002 and moved the practice to its purpose-built Gasport, NY facility in 2007 — a building designed with a dedicated CBCT suite and surgical operatories for the volume of implant work performed there. Every procedure begins with a CBCT scan and digital treatment planning.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), and the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), and a ZAGA Center Certified zygomatic implant specialist — 1 of only 11 ZAGA-certified centers in the United States. He is co-author of the zygomatic implant clinical textbook used in international training programs.

Over more than 30 years, Dr. Kaplansky has placed thousands of dental implants — with a focus on cases that other dentists refer out: full-arch TeethNow zirconia restoration, zygomatic implants for severe upper-jaw bone loss, and patients who have been told elsewhere that implants are not an option.
